Will my insurance cover Lymphedema Therapy?
If the diagnosis can be treated with Physical Therapy and it is medically necessary for your condition, our therapists will perform a physical therapy evaluation.
Lymphatic Drainage or Lymphedema Therapy can be part of the physical therapy treatment plan if needed, amongst other Physical Therapy applications to meet your goals.
We must meet the Physical Therapy standard of care to the bill to your insurance.
When is Lymphedema Therapy not covered by my insurance?
- If Physical Therapy does not cover the treatment diagnosis, then Lymphedema Therapy / Lymphatic drainage is not billable to your insurance.
- Suppose you want Lymphedema Therapy treatments as a standalone treatment of choice. Unfortunately, Lymphedema Therapy or Lymphatic Drainage will not be billable to our contracted insurances.
